Taken in combination, the message was once easy: That is Donald Trump’s birthday celebration. Length. Finish of sentence.

So, what did they do unsuitable?
As notable as what is within the invoice is what is no longer: no attack guns ban, no common background exams and no elevating the age restrict to shop for a gun.
The group’s response to all of that? “No gun keep watch over!,” they chanted again and again at Cornyn.
“There may be two kinds of participants of Congress: There may be efficiency artists and legislators. The efficiency artists are those that get all of the consideration, those you assume are extra conservative as a result of they understand how to mention slogans actual neatly, they understand how to recite the strains that they know our electorate need to pay attention.”
Later, he added this: “We’ve got grifters in our midst … within the conservative motion. Lie after lie after lie.”
What this weekend’s festivities in Texas shed light on is that there’s an energetic and ongoing effort to purge the Republican Birthday party of someone and everybody who a) criticizes Donald Trump or his congressional allies in any respect or b) seeks to damage from inflexible birthday celebration orthodoxy on problems like weapons.
Those criticisms are calling playing cards of Trump’s years main the Republican Birthday party: there is not any room for compromise and even dialog. It is both his approach or no approach.
