Ukraine: Invasion fears are hype and hysteria – Russian diplomat

Fears of a Russian invasion of Ukraine are “hype and hysteria” and the presence of Russian troops close to the border with Ukraine is a part of standard processes, Russia’s deputy ambassador to the UN has instructed the BBC.

Dmitry Polyanskiy instructed the BBC’s Yalda Hakim that if Russia used to be no longer attacked or provoked, it could no longer start up a battle.

He stated Russia revered Ukraine’s sovereignty, however didn’t settle for Ukrainian intentions to sign up for Nato for the reason that alliance’s infrastructure on Russian borders would put Russia’s safety “at risk”.
